Union Station

Union Station was another well known cruising spot for gay men in the area surrounding Parliament. The tunnel that led to the Château Laurier, as well as the bathrooms, were very active in the 50s and 60s. Its proximity to Mackenzie Avenue, which was the main hustler strip, made Union Station and the nearby Honey Dew Coffee Shop, a great place to relax before venturing outdoors.

The station is now the Government Conference Centre and has been under renovation for some time, but the building remains mainly intact and its interior is still strikingly beautiful.
