Cathy Collett

Cathy Collett has been involved as a gay activist in Ottawa since the early 1980’s. She was a member of the board of directors of Pink Triangle Services for a number of years.  While employed at Centretown Community Health Centre in a senior management position, she worked with other lgbt staff to increase the Centre’s work with our community. 

Cathy was the founder and first chairperson of Sage Ottawa. Later, the Ottawa Senior Pride Network came into existence with the support of CCHC. Since retiring in 2012, Cathy has remained an active member of OSPN.

Cathy is the recipient of a number of awards including Capital Xtra’s 2001 Heroes Award; Capital Xtra’s Community Achievement Award in 2006 and the Volunteer Ottawa 2017 Outstanding Community Senior Volunteer.
